Yes, I know it's not spelled with a K. I'm being cute!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Kat. That's all you need to know, since I don't want to be inundated with emails, snail mail or annoying phone calls related to my political views.

The purpose of my blog is two-fold, maybe three. The first purpose is to vent. Sometimes I find my thoughts and opinions and reactions to political events simmering like a stew in a pressure cooker. I feel like writing things down (or typing them out) will help me to calm my mind.

Second, I would like to refine my arguments and support my beliefs and opinions with facts and information that I can then use in my discussions with friends, both liberal and conservative.

Third, if there is a third, would be for others to read what I write, think about it, and add it to their mental store of perspectives and facts to use in their political discussions, on one side or the other. But really, I don't much care if my blog is read or not.

However, if you do read it, I'd love to hear your thoughts, disagreement or agreement, perspective, suggestions and criticisms. Please leave a comment, as long as it is not abusive or nasty, in which case I will simply delete it.
